Last week we touched upon humans and robots working in harmony within the healthcare sector. Let’s take this a step further and look at ‘cobots’, which are functional, user-friendly and reprogrammable robots designed to assist or guide humans in a specific task. They can detect abnormal activity alerting humans to any potential danger (unlike robots which are autonomously programmed)

Expert’s state use of cobots will most definitely grow. Manufacturing industries for example have seen an increase in production rates of factories, leading to employee satisfaction, upskilling and easier workloads by using this collaborative method of working.

Greg Satell a contributor for Forbes looks at how company Rethink Robotics sees the future of collaborative robots.

Next week we will read about the real benefits of using robots and cobots.
